Cycle Trails
Cycling is an ever-growing hobby which has been popular to both residence and visitors to Pemberton. With both road and mountain bike activities available, it is a social exercise suitable for the whole family.

Mountain Bike Hire is available from the Pemberton General Store for the mountain bike track and forest trails. You can reach them in town (open 7.30am - 7pm daily) or phone 9776 1151. These well maintained bicycles are a delight to ride.

The Pemberton cycle club meet every Sunday, pop into the Pemberton CRC and enquire there. They also assist with the town annual event – the Pemberton Classic road race traditionally held in the long weekend in March. The Northcliffe Karri Cup mountain bike race is now held in June..

The Karri Valley Triathlon is held later on that month with the Relentless Blue IMBA mountain bike challenge held on the first weekend in May.

For further information on these events bookmark the dates in your calendar or contact the Pemberton Community Resource Centre

BMX is catered for at both the skate park opposite the caravan park in town and at the jump park near the Pemberton Pool.
Pemberton Mountain Bike Park (Pemberton Forest Park)
Pemberton is now home to a world class mountain bike trail - and the best thing about these trails is that they overlook the town (hard to get lost), you have mobile signal (so you can use the "Trailforks" maps) and you are not far from somewhere nice for coffee or cake... or something stronger.

Pemberton to Big Brook Dam Loop (aka Wine Cycle Trail)
Heading from Pemberton, from Swimming Pool Rd turn left at the Pemberton Caravan Park, follow Pump Hill around past Forest Fresh Marron and over the bridge. Turn right onto Rainbow Trail and follow the old road up to the dam.... we advise you print out these directions as they may assist in making your life easier :o) Doing the entire loop is around 17km.

If you are wanting to book in for lunch at Hidden River it is advisable to call them first 9776 1151!

Pemberton does offer Mountain Bike Hire or make sure you bring your own - there are so many trails!

Pemberton is located almost 1/2 way along the Munda Biddi Trail - a 1000km cycletrail from Mundaring in the hills of Perth to Albany. This also makes it a perfect place to stay a while for some cycling!

It is a good idea to check trail conditions on the track before you ride and they should be listed on the DPaW site. You can also call the Donnelly District office on 08 9776 1207 during business hours.

Please note this is a Mountain Bike trail with some single and rail trail options. It is considered family friendly however we do get a few who are not prepared. Expect trees down during wet season and the occasional bit of pea gravel.

A couple of perfect loops we recommend are Pemberton south (ie via Gloucester Tree) and head to Gloucester Rd (second major gravel Rd) - turn left and travel around 7km North West to the northern entry of the Munda Biddi into Pemberton. You then ride into town via Browns Rd and Golf links Rd. This loop is around 30km.
For track transfer services contact Pemberton Discovery Tours on 0897760484 as we can assist cyclists with transport locally. For repairs - contact the Pemberton General Store on +61 8 9776 1151 and see if they have a bike mechanic available. If you are in Manjimup then Alexander Sports is a great contact for service & repairs.
